IN MY PRIVATE WORLD:
I am happily married to Robert Wayne Stokes and have an adult son, Oba (single and twenty-five). I love vintage collecting, revamping and sales, movies, reading and gardening. Volunteering in my community gives me great joy.
I am the baby girl of Ernest and Mary Shuemake with four siblings, Barbara, Betty, George and Harold. My father, Ernest and brother Harold are in the heavens but always close at heart. Our guiding angels. We are a close family and I am most grateful for this and the values we all share in loving each other. My father always spoke on family values and their importance. Mama always reminds us, her grands and great-grands to always be thankful and humble. She is our rock.
A special time of day for me is "tea time". I love sipping tea-especially in the spring/summertime in the garden and sharing with friends. Being self employed, tea time is a great break during the day. I love filling my special cup with tea and spending a little quiet time. It always restores me. Yes, I am from the south, but don't call me a southern peach..call me "southern peach cobbler"-sugar sweet!
Favorite saying: “Life is not short-it is timed!!! Spend time wisely.
