I wanted to make movies. documentaries mostly as I made one for my MFA thesis about my mother who lived through segregation and refused to sit at the back of the bus the year before Rosa Parks. I think I like the editing side better. If I ever venture into film I would like to pursue the route.

I would also like to recommend a documentary of note by a friend of mine, "Faubourg Treme: The Untold Story of Black New Orleans". It has received quite accommodations and accolades. A very powerful film and quite informative. it has been touring the country as part of festivals, Tribeca, MV Black Film Festival etc. . we are working on getting it seen in Philly with Q&A with the director and producers. I would love to be kept informed of your work and projects.

Hi Kia,
I am an old movie fantatic and had forgotten all about Mr. Skeffington until I saw it on your list. I will never forget when Bette Davis' curls fall out...

The Creator didn’t make any mistakes! So my answer is NO! There is no such thing as too black or too white. Only in the minds of those full of self-hatred, does this mind-set exist.
